Hey Warriors Fam!

Our next grading will be held at the club on the weekend of Saturday, 31 May and Sunday, 01 June 2025.

What is Grading?

Grading is a special day where students are tested on their technique, stamina and determination in order to obtain their next belt (or rank).

Am I/Is my child eligible?

Students who have been training for more than 6 months, will be eligible to grade. Senior Ranks (yellow belt and higher) will need to confirm if they meet training requirements with Sensei Meysam.

If you are unsure whether you/your child are eligible to grade, please have a chat with Sensei Meysam next time you are at the club :)

How can I apply to grade?

Grading application forms are now available from reception, and here, below. In order for yourself/your child to grade, please complete the application form and return it to reception before 26th May 2025.

Please note, all grading certificates will now have the students photo attached, so a passport photograph will need to be submitted with the grading application form. Please ensure the student's full name is written on the back of the photo.

What do I wear?

As Grading is a formal event, please ensure you wear your full karate uniform - white top, white pants, and belt, and that it is clean and ironed. All students will also be required to bring their protective gear (hand mitts and shin guards) as well.

Grading Day and Time:

The grading day and time will be dependent on the number of students grading. A large number of applications may mean students will be separated into smaller groups over the weekend to make for a smoother and more effective grading process, and this will also help reduce the length of the grading for each group.

The exact day (either Saturday or Sunday) and time will be confirmed closer to the grading date. Please also note, grading forms and respective fees are required to be back at the club on or before 26th May 2025.

What If I can't make it?

Grading Day is like a karate graduation. It is a day students train for, and build up to throughout the year. Additionally, a part of our training teaches students resilience and how to perform under pressure. In the event you are unable to make it to this Grading Day, you will need to attend the next Grading.

If you have any questions regarding the upcoming grading, please do not hesitate to have a chat with us :)
