MEYSAM RANJBAKHSH
Head Coach
Specialising in Kyokushin Karate, strength and conditioning, and boxing, Meysam began his martial arts journey at a very young age. He holds a third-dan black belt in Kyokushin Karate, as well as a black belt in Taekwondo.
​
Meysam has competed and ranked at state, national, and international levels, earning podium placements at both the Iranian National and Australian National Championships, as well as first place at the South-East Asian Championships. Most recently, he competed at the 2024 IKON World Championships held in Osaka, Japan.
​
His extensive experience in competitive martial arts carries through to his teaching, with his students achieving podium results at international tournaments and on the world stage — a true reflection of his ability and dedication as an instructor.
Meysam is also a qualified boxing coach, registered with Boxing Victoria.

As the Australian Branch Chief for the International Karate Organisation Nakamura (IKON), Meysam brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and international experience to Warriors Martial Arts.

SARAH RANJBAKHSH
Karate Instructor, Nutritionist (MHumNtr)
Sarah began training in 2008 and started teaching shortly after earning her black belt in 2013, where she discovered a strong passion for mentoring students. She has been an integral part of Warriors Martial Arts since its foundation in 2015, playing a key role in developing and delivering many of the junior programs. Sarah is particularly passionate about helping children build confidence, stay active, and enjoy martial arts in a positive environment.

In June 2025, Sarah achieved her Nidan (second-degree black belt), reflecting her dedication and continued growth in the art. She has competed in both full-contact and kata divisions, most recently at the IKON International Friendship Karate Championship in Taiwan (Dec 2025) and the IKOKU World Cup on the Gold Coast (Nov 2025).

Sarah also holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition and enjoys combining her knowledge of fitness and nutrition to support students and families in developing healthier habits and perform at optimal levels. Her experience, care, and professionalism make her a valued member of the Warriors team.

ABIHA SHAIKH
Karate Instructor
Abiha started training Kyokushin when she was a young teenager, and has now been training for 8 years. Competing in both full-contact and kata competitions - most recently at the 2025 IKOKU World Cup held in the Gold Coast in November, 2025 - Abiha has gained valuable tournament experience to pass on to her students.
Committed to her training, and having worked hard to earn her black belt, Abiha continues to develop her expertise by expanding her training with other styles of martial arts. Abiha is dedicated and passionate about helping her students improve and enjoys seeing them progress.

HOUSTON HIRMIZ
Assistant Instructor
Houston started training in 2022, and realised quickly that he had found something he was very passionate about. Houston has proven to be committed to his training, demonstrating commitment and dedication, and his progress throughout the years is a testament of itself.

ALIZAA ALI
Assistant Instructor

Alizaa commenced her training in 2017, dedicating herself to continuously polishing her skills and techniques in order to improve upon herself with each training session. Alizaa enjoys helping other students not only improve in their martial arts skills, but in their growth as individuals as well.

NICHOLAS BARICEVIC
Assistant Instructor
Nicholas started training kickboxing and MMA in 2015. Since starting martial arts, Nicholas has competed in submission grappling and full contact karate tournaments gaining valuable experience.
​
As an assistant instructor for junior karate and mixed martial arts classes, he enjoys teaching martial arts to younger kids and seeing them improve and progress in their training.

GURMEEN BENIPAL
Assistant Instructor
Gurmeen began her training in 2017, and has consistently progressed through the ranks. With big goals which require a big commitment, Gurmeen is the epitome of dedication, which she demonstrates in her technique and her competition. Most recently, Gurmeen placed first in her division at the IKON International Friendship Karate Championship held in Taiwan in December 2025. She competed and placed second for her division for the 2024 All Japan National Championships in Osaka, Japan, and also represented both Warriors Martial Arts and Australia at the IKON World Championships also held in Osaka, Japan in 2024.
Gurmeen continues to compete in full-contact karate and enjoys helping younger students learn and progress.

JASMINE BARICEVIC
Assistant Instructor
Jasmine started her martial arts journey in 2022 and quickly fell in love with her training. Her hard work and dedication is shown in her progress, and she enjoys helping other students learn.

BAANI MANGAT
Assistant Instructor
Baani began her karate journey in 2017 at the age of 8. Her passion for martial arts has lead her to compete in numerous tournaments - most recently placing second in her division at the IKON International Friendship Karate Championship held in Taiwan in December 2025. She also represented both Warriors Martial Arts and Australia at the IKON World Tournament in 2024, held in Osaka, Japan.

As an assistant instructor for junior karate, Baani loves working with younger students, helping them build confidence, discipline and strong fundamentals to create a strong, next generation of karate students. She creates a positive and supportive environment where kids can thrive both as martial artists, and as individuals.
